It should be clarified that Amimon, on their own website, talks about the fact that their technology only achieves ~200 Mbps. In addition, they are not able to do 1080p uncompressed, only up to 1080i. In order to achieve true uncompressed 1080p, the mininum bandwidth capability requirement is 3.5 Gbps, NOT "3Gbps-like." Amimon's solution drops bits in order to fit in the 5GHz pipeline and therefore, will forever be unable to achieve the most current and popular 1080p resolution and will not be able to scale to future display technology improvements, which will require more bandwidth than 5GHz can achieve due to its physical limitations.
