Specifically on of the WP of the project will be focused in identifying the research needs that will permits to disseminate the influence of nutrigenomic science for improving a balanced personalized nutrition between agricultural products and Nutraceutical additives in the diets .
As a matter of facts advances in nutrigenomics promise a new understanding of the connections between nutrients and long-term health so that this approach can be optimized in order to erase malnutrition in AFRICA . As a matter of facts the scientific advances of the Human Genome Project—the mapping of the entire human genome—are revolutionizing the way we think about health, illness, and disease prevention. As a direct consequence advances in nutri genomics increase our understanding of the inherited basis of disease, allow us to develop new Nutraceutical products with specific molecular targets, and help us to understand why nutraceuticals and more i general drugs are more effective or more toxic in people with certain ethnic characteristics, in fact nutrigenomics also promise to revolutionize our understanding of nutrition and how people differ in their response to nutrients. But because the impact of Nutrigenomic depends on whether citizen learn about the connections between specific nutrients and their own genetic makeup and change their habits in light of this information the FtoB&BtoF program would strenthening a strong relationship between European nutrigenomics science and Africa research on Nutrition and high quality of tropical Agriculture. With this aim , the specific WP would to determine how the complex scientific information discovered by nutrigenomics research will be disseminated to the public in Africa in order to identify the drivers and barriers to the dissemination of that scientific information encosed in the advances of the science fo life and finally to forecast the likely penetration rate of this information into the daily life of consumers in the next decade.
http://wikipazia.org/index.php?title=Tematiche_...
--
--
PAOLO MANZELLI
Director of LRE/EGO-CreaNet – University of Florence
DIPARTIMENTO DI CHIMICA ,
POLO SCIENTIFICO 50019 -SESTO F.no- 50019 Firenze- Via Della Lastruccia 3 -room: 334: Phone: +39/055-4573135 Fax: +39/055-4573077
Mobile: +39/335-6760004
E-mail: LRE@UNIFI.IT ;
pmanzelli@gmail.com
http://www.wikipazia.org
http://www.egocreanet.it/Postnuke/html/
http://blu.chim.unifi.it/group/education/index....
http://www.edscuola.it/lre.html
http://www.egocrea.net/
