Soylent · 1 year agoIf GMO algae are used to concentrate uranium from sea water it might be possible to have them do double duty as producers of oil, pharmaceutical compounds or precursors, concentrating some other element like iodine. If you can capture another revenue stream from a co-product without a lot of extra overhead you can indirectly reduce the cost the uranium.
