it still wont stop the snooty sales reps at tiffany's from telling you it's not a REAL diamond... How do these diamonds rate in the 4 C's?

Added discussion in the article about 4Cs as related to synthetic diamonds. Cannot find a reference to how many diamonds are being produced by the Carnegie Institute. The Carnegie Institute process is fast and should produce quality as good as the Apollo Diamond people. Both use CVD. Carnegie Institute can go a lot bigger. A big 5 carat plus diamond is worth $300K. There is clear financial incentive to make the really big diamonds. But going beyond 30 carat becomes obvious because all the mined stones that big are so rare that they get named and are famous and have a history.
