On CBC radio, I heard a program about aquaculture(fish farming) and I was surprised to hear the fish are fed livestock food -- soy &amp; corn (probably gmo) besides possibly some of the food they'd eat in their natural environment. I've eaten farmed fish, and hate the taste. Can taste the difference. Heart-breaking how they are raised, crowded together, over-medicated, and so on...How can we not realize that those genes will interact with people who ingest them, and have an effect on their body???? So, if super growth is their extra gene -- are we going to be affected by that too??? Kids are maturing physically much sooner than they had in the past -- all the hormones around...and if the fish are genetically altered to survive with a heavier toxic load (just read somewhere that that's one of the characteristics being genetically added) -- people are going to be getting more of the toxic load into their bodies at a time when toxins are coming at people from all directions and such a prevalence of cancers, allergies, &amp; other diseases! I hope the FDA takes its time before letting these loose on the general population, and not even letting people know if the fish they are eating has been genetically modified.
