J Storrs Hall of Foresight Explains the Medieval Warm Period and Global Warming
I think the list is missing metallic nanoparticles, or nano-crystalline particles.
In the case of Acticoat, a commercial wound dressing, the nanoparticles go beyond the role of delivery vehicle and are considered the active ingredient.
Silver nanoparticles (the species of nanoparticle included in Acticoat) have been shown to have broad spectrum antimicrobial efficacy, and in some papers even an antiviral effect.
Also, I believe metallic nanoparticles are used in some sunscreens - but that's more preventative medicine.
