    I've suggested that if such could be manufactured in sufficiently huge quantities, you could use them to propel manned craft, just be directing them to impact a pusher plate.

    Radiation will effect the operation of such chips. The capacitor will discharge randomly. I doubt the dialectric will hold up very long.
